Have you ever wanted to watch one of the world's most wanted fugitives turn himself in to work alongside the FBI? Of course you have! The Blacklist is an American thriller series written by Jon Bokenkamp.  The first episode of The Blacklist was aired on September  23, 2013. Raymond Reddington (played by James Spader) is a notorious fugitive and has been on the FBI’s most wanted list for decades, Raymond turns himself into the FBI in order to run a classified operation known as ‘The Blacklist’ to help take down the most wanted fugitives across the globe.  However, this came with a price, Raymond demanded full immunity and refused to talk to anybody but an agent by the name of Elizabeth Keen (played by Megan Boone)…

What is The Blacklist?

The Blacklist is intended for more mature audiences as it presents mature ideas and a high level of knowledgeability of legal issues.  Many series lack in certain areas, some much more than others. However, this series is one of the few that I enjoy and look forward to every season. This series sinks the viewer into a deep spiral of emotions: some scenes are upsetting, some are uplifting and some are meant to leave you confused. It becomes a part of your life, a part of your daily routine, it’s intriguing, every episode has meaning behind it and it leaves the viewer craving for more. It’s sort of like an addiction. Except, not as bad (hopefully). The actors are completely fit to play their roles and they all do a phenomenal job at playing their characters.  I would undoubtedly recommend this series to anyone, especially if you are into a well-constructed thriller.

Overall, this show stands-out in many different ways, whether it be the political views discussed, the plot or characters.  It is a must-watch show for anyone and everyone, so what are you still doing here?

Daily Dose of Fun Fact(s)
