Mine..mine..mine… Minecraft is a game in which you must create, build, explore and survive. In this game you must last as long as possible and defeat the Ender Dragon to win the game.
Minecraft came out in 2009 with a slow and steady increase in popularity. This game was loved by all people of all ages. The popularity hit in 2010. There were many toys, shirts and books about this game. The game itself it is popular, but why is that?
In the game you are in this world (Biome), in which you need to gather materials to survive and defeat the Ender Dragon. It is quite easy to gather the materials needed to survive there, is an abundance of the necessities. Although the items required to win the game are much, much too difficult to find, but in my opinion, that is what makes the game so much fun.
The different game modes provided (creative, survival, multiplayer) allows different type of people to play the game. If you want to kill some zombies and have a chance at possible dying then survival is for you. But on the other hand, if you want to build amazing structures and massive monuments then creative is the way to go. Hey! Want to play with some of your friends and meet new people online? Then there are many servers available to access. The developers made the game very inclusive in the sense that you have options for the way you want to play.
See the downfall –but equally as uplifting– is that this game takes days. Not hours. Days! This game has randomly generated worlds with the dungeons and/or strongholds constantly changing their location. If I spawned, in a nice jungle Biome, the first thing I would want to do is explore. Then I would gather the materials to create a shelter and then go searching for the strongholds. The fact that this game has so many things you have to be weary of such as: zombies, spiders, hunger, hunting, exploring, and of course, mining; has your objective of the game constantly changing. Do you want to survive? Or do you want to find the ender dragon? Or do you want to slay as many zombies as possible? It depends on you.
Let’s discuss the elephant in the room, shall we? Blocks! The game is known for its iconic blocks and cubes, which makes the game even more enjoyable. Who doesn’t love cubes? Everything in the games made from cubes and it is quite amazing on how they did that. They even made swords out of blocks! Someone says minecraft, you most definitely remember the game as “the game with the blocks.”
Minecraft overall is a great game. As dubbed on an article on Minecraft by Popular Science, Minecraft is the second best game in the world. The blocks, the cows and creepers, the different modes. What is better than variety? Minecraft is such an addicting game and it can actually help you prioritize the tasks in your game, which then can help your real life. I am just saying...
