Writer's picture: It'sMyBlyth It'sMyBlyth

The book ‘Gone’, by Michael Grant, is about a civilization with no adults and a bunch of children consisting from the ages of: 1-15. One particular child has a bunch of powers that can help save other children and most of the children are in different factions fighting against each other, which can emphasize violence and corruption.

Within the book, characters can be seen with a unique aspect. Some of the characteristics include: academic success; diligent personality; voluntary work and a lot more. Sam is the main character of the book and also travels throughout their whole town to find out what caused the disappearance of adults. Moreover, other factions are holding a conference to figure out the roles of children that are still in the town. Sam always is looking for a sense of accomplishment, and acceptance because in school he wasn’t very popular; Now Sam wants to become the hero with his mysterious superpowers. Even though most of the areas they go into are problematic consisting of: A power plant; Town halls and abandoned factories. This book has done extremely well in creating graphic images in the reader's head; By describing everything that the main characters see. Well done!

Although, the characters never unravel the mystery, all of them have seen that the disappearance has also led to interference in their town; This means that there is a barrier that they can not leave their town and only Sam and some of the children know about this barrier. The author can make you bleed in suspense, this book is about thrills and a lot of great dialogue can be read by the reader. Grant is definitely a diligent writer as he has become New York’s Best Selling Author. Fantastic!

In conclusion, you need to buy this book and the best part is… that there is a full series on the story containing 7 books. The book sales include: 700,000 books bought; 1.5 million dollars in sales; The whole series made 7 Million dollars in sales. Outstanding! In my opinion, this book exceeds all expectations. Grant made a statement on the number of books sold: “Thank you to everyone who believed in my books, I couldn’t have made this series without you guys. This has been a dream of mine and I finally did it and I want to say… thank you!” Likewise, this book is great and why not give it a try; You might even enjoy it!
