Overwatch is a first person shooter game that relies heavily on team coordination and the ability for each teammate to stand out and do work on their own. Since its an fps, many people are familiar with that genre in gaming. Some games being: Call of Duty, Destiny, Battlefield. These are the top of the top games; games that any developer would have hoped to be the creator.
In Overwatch it is known that communication is a vital element that causes victory. Not only communication but also mechanical skill. The ability for someone to have better mechanical skill than the opposing team is usually a direct correlation to a win for your team and a lose for the others. But if the team’s decide to communicate then the game will end up going to who is the best shot caller, calling out specific plays and heros to eliminate.
Here are the 3 reasons on why overwatch is still the best game to date:
Team Based Game That Relies On Team Communication
Overwatch is a 6v6 this allows for many different combinations of heroes that can be played together. For example, if the enemy team is deciding to run goats (3 tanks and 3 supports) then a good way to counter that is by running quad DPS, 1 tank, and 1 healer. By understanding the game and how it should be played, then you will understand why Overwatch is the best game yet.
2. Many Heroes With DIfferent Play Styles
There are 29 heroes now in Overwatch, with all of them ranging from a tank that carries a 10 ft shield to a character that flies above the ground just like a bird. No matter what your playstyle is, Overwatch definitely has a character that will suit you and what you enjoy most. Do you want to snipe someone across the map and killing them with one headshot? Then widowmaker is for you. Or do you want to use a bow and arrow? Hanzo is your new main.
3. LFG or solo
LFG is a new system that has been added to overwatch thall allows for players that want to play with groups of people that want to have the same goals as them to group up together and play. It’s a system that has worked for destiny but is a lot cleaner in overwatch. All you have to do is write a name for the group and the roles you want played then you'll be set to go. But if playing with groups is not something that you enjoy, the paying solo is always a valid option. Since I play overwatch, i’ve most of the journey was solo for me and therefore that is where I feel comfortable. But there is always something for someone.
