Crocs and Beyond

Society Against Crocs

In the early 2000s Crocs were enormously popular for every age group. Children would wear them going to the water park or collecting the jibblette charms from places they’ve visited. Adults would use them around the house or when swimming in rocky areas. But then all of a sudden Crocs started plummeting in popularity. Adidas and Nike climbed up the social ladder and Crocs were pushed to the very bottom. Anyone caught wearing crocs were considered outcasts and should be shunned or made fun of for wearing such tragedies to shoe apparel. Society was tearing the company apart, but then came 2018...

Crocs Climbing Social Ladder

2018 came along and the Crocs stores were filling up fast. Soon almost every colour was selling out and they were running out of stock. The fashion changed for teens especially from sophisticated and mature to wearing pjs and sweatpants to school. What goes better with a lazy outfit than crocs? Students would start matching their scrunchy or sweatshirt with the colour of crocs they were wearing. “Ugly” is in.

Types of Crocs

I am a big supporter of Crocs: the different colour, styles and the comfort! What is better than that? I started the Croc trend at my high school. One day I came to school with bright pink Crocs, but just any type of Croc! The Classic Blitzen 3 Clog. These convenient crocs are water proof because of the crocs material on the outside, and the inside is wool to warm your foot during the coldest of days. Many students buy the typical Croc but in exciting and fun colours. I personally like mine better because I can wear them all year round.

Classic Blitzen 3 Clog

The clog is drastic change from classic Croc. It is around $60.00 to buy and the original Croc shape is still shown but no holes on the top because of the wool inside. I purchased the white and pink style, and enjoy the colour but the wool is hard to maintain. Since the wool is white and it dirties fairly quickly and is hard to wash back to its original white. Through my point of view, I don’t care about cleanliness as much, some dirt on my shoes doesn’t bother me. For others I suggest getting the black style so you can’t see any flaws.

Crocs Skyrocketing

More than half of the people I know own a pair of Crocs and want to buy many more. It is not only the comfort that they enjoy is it the fun colours. It is really hard to find the jiblettes in store because those aren’t that popular but crazy unique and out of the box is in so keep an eye out for them in store. I highly enjoy my Crocs and so do many others you should get on this bandwagon and purchase a pair today!
