The movie ‘Creed’ was a 2015 American sports drama film directed by Ryan Coogler and written by Coogler and Aaron Covington. The film stars Michael B. Jordan as Adonis Johnson Creed, Apollo Creed’s son, with Sylvester Stallone reprising the role Rocky Balboa. Filming begun in Liverpool on January 19, 2015, and later took place in Philadelphia. ‘Creed’ was released in the United States on November 25, 2015.
First off, let me start by saying that I’m a huge ‘Rocky’ fan, and the audience for this movie are people who enjoy sports or more specifically, boxing. 90% of people who enjoy sports will enjoy this movie. With that being said the trailers of the movie were amazing. Sylvester Stallone amazed us with his performance as much as he did with his older movies, Michael B. Jordan’s performance was as good if not better than Stallone’s. With great power comes great responsibility. I think that after watching the movie, I will always see Jordan as Creed no matter what role he is playing. That is because I so much enjoy boxing.
Why would anyone want to watch this movie? That is because the story was well written and well thought out. The film gives both: Stallone and Jordan a huge amount of respect as how much effort they put into the movie, to own their boxing place, and put the boxing legacy under their name. Again, if you enjoy sports and would like to see a movie that will change your entire perspective on life to the better, ‘Creed’ is highly recommended.
