Whoever told you that that the Twilight Series was good was lying to you. The books were made into something so horrible that it was hard to fathom its existence.
The Twilight Series is about a girl named Bella who fell in love with a vampire (Edward Cullen) and then discovered that her best friend was a werewolf (Jacob Black) who was in love with her. The series, throughout both the movies and books, followed the adventures of these three people. In the end they lived happily ever after. Yay…
In the movies, they portrayed most of the scenes very incompetently. For example, in the scene where Bella discovered that Edward was a vampire, but she still was in love with him, the cheesiest lines were said: “We can’t be together, I love you, I am not good for you.” In children’s movies they say the exact same thing. A teenage movie being almost the same as a children’s movie. That is a very interesting thought.
Not only was the script writing awful, the acting itself was terrible. In many situations their lines were delivered very choppy and awkwardly. There were too many examples of this in the movie just to pick out one but the lines were said almost as if they were robots. It was like the directors just wanted to put together really fast. For example in the first movie, when Jacob and Bella where in the car together, they were very awkward when they didn’t have to be. They did not care to reshoot the scenes where some of the actors were saying their lines very unprofessionally. Can we also talk about the fact that when Jacob told Bella that he was a werewolf. He used the exact sames lines Edward did? Bella also responded with the exact same thing she said to Edward–with the slightest variation of course.This movie was clearly made in a rush and they did not get a chance to refine some of the scenes to make it better. The director made the movie in hastily manner which caused some scenes to suffer.
I’ll have to be honest with you, some of the production of the movies in the series improved, but it was only the last two. Talk about going out with a bang, right? Figuratively and literally. In Breaking Dawn Part 1–without giving too much away– Bella was getting married. It gets more interesting in these movies because it showed her transitioning stage. In the Breaking Dawn Part 2, there was a massive fight scene that took place which was very enjoyable.
Overall they could have really made the first few movies a lot better if they took the care to. I would recommend the books, not the movies.
