Hockey has come a long way. From back when helmets and gloves weren’t a thing, to now, where we have gloves such as the Warrior Alpha QX gloves.

Alpha QX gloves have some of the most advanced features of any glove ever produced. Warrior is a brand that has multiple top athletes, ranging from players like Mark Shiefle, assistant captain of the Winnipeg Jets, to upcoming names like Alex Tuch of the Vegas Golden Knights (Vegas hockey organization was added this year to the NHL).

These gloves are sitting at the top of the charts for best hockey glove. Many reviews express that not only do the gloves feel comfortable around your hand, but it also offers plenty of protection. One buyer said “These gloves are the best purchase I have ever made as a hockey player, I am able to block shots without worry of breaking or injuring my hands.”  The gloves do cost approximately $229 dollars, but for the price you are paying, you get the best gloves on the market. A list of NHL players that use Warrior products like sticks and gloves include : Mark Scheifele, Max Pacioretty, Johnny Gaudreau, Erik Karlsson, Ryan Getzlaf, Blake Wheeler, and many more. These players have all been on NHL all-star rosters, and most - if not all - have represented their countries in the Olympics or World Junior’s.

I personally own a pair of these gloves, and for the most part they live up to the hype. Yes, they are very expensive for hockey gloves, but I have avoided multiple hand injuries using them. Not only do they help to protect me, they are extremely comfortable and malleable. This is important when choosing gloves because you must be able to move your hand easily enough to stickhandle and shoot. I have had these gloves for close to five months now, using them almost every day. My gloves are still in good shape even after blocking multiple shots and getting slashed. I would recommend these gloves to almost anyone who can afford them, they are perfect for anyone who takes hockey seriously. The biggest issue with these gloves is that if you don’t wash them properly they can become very stiff and difficult to use. As a hockey player making sure you clean your equipment is extremely important, and is going to help you get the most of your gear.
