Alfredo arose in a pitch black room. The musty smell of stale blood and slightly chilled air filled the wide chamber with the feeling of a dangerous presence. He got up rather slowly, gaining his balance and taking in his new surroundings, at least what he could make out of them. He pulled out the oil lamp from his traveller’s pack, creating a flame as fast as he could. Once he had successfully created a light source, he took a better glance at the situation he had found himself in.
Tall, wide stone pillars stood in the wide hall he had woken up in. He was standing directly in the centre of the room, giving him a wide angle view on his surroundings. He hesitated; thought for a while, and said to himself “I recognize this place…These are the Mines of Moria-"
Before he could even finish his sentence, he was interrupted by the sound of many footsteps: behind that there were faint cries, and what sounded like drums, echoing a faint “doom, doom”
Frightened at the sound of this, he sprinted behind one of the massive pillars, stopping just in time to see what looked like a large man, donned in a long grey cloak, topped with a grey hat and a long white beard, sprinting through the chambers entrance; being followed by what seemed to be 4 hobbits; an elf; a dwarf; and two humans. Bewildered at the sight of this, he quickly put out his oil lamp, remaining as silent as could be.
The presence he had felt earlier began to fill his head even further, as if someone, or something, had placed a heavy weight upon his head. It finally reached a tipping point as an army of Orcs came careering through the large doorways.
As he felt the presence overtake him he collapsed swiftly, hitting his head off of the pillar he was hiding behind. This caused him to begin to black out, but just before he did, he saw the Orcs suddenly flee, followed by a bright flame-like light creeping up, through the hall...
