Bauer ADV Hockey Stick Making A Hit

On Saturday, January 25th the Bauer Nexus ADV stick was launched into the market! Here is what you need to know about this revolutionary new stick.

The Nexus ADV has officially redefined what a hockey stick looks like. Weighing in at only 365 grams, it's not only the lightest stick created, it’s also loaded with revolutionary technologies that provide a level of performance and feel you’ve never experienced before. Although all Nexus sticks are designed to load and release shots with ease, the new Nexus ADV Technologies SLINGTECH and ER SPINE TECH further enhance these characteristics for any hockey player.

SLINGTECH Blade

Let's start off with the big wow factor of this stick.

The hole in the blade(as seen in the picture below) is called SLINGTECH and creates a slingshot effect when releasing the puck.

With this new creation in the blade, Bauer has created two separate blade sections with different properties that work together while loading and releasing shots. The result is that the blade does the work, making it easier to load and release the puck with added acceleration. The two different sections hug the puck for better control.

When it comes to taping the blade, there isn’t a unique or specific way to do it. It’s recommended that you just tape the blade the same as you would any other standard stick, so nothing feels too different when you use it on the ice.

With this hole in the blade, the durability of the blade was looked at as a problem. However, Bauer stated that “the blade is just as strong, and may even be stronger than some of the elite level blades in the market today.” Even if the stick does break, Bauer still has its standard 30 day warranty for the stick.

ER SPINE Tech Shaft

ER SPINE technology reduces weight and creates a faster transfer of energy towards the blade. The five-sided geometry of the shaft improves the performance by removing the carbon fiber layers in the key loading area.

The Bauer Nexus ADV, and it’s new five-sided geometry ER SPINE Tech Shaft have officially made this stick one of a kind. It has been proven by pro hockey players(who have tested this stick in action) that the shaft does improve your performance on the ice. By changing the geometry of the shaft, Bauer was able to remove the carbon fiber layers of the stick successfully in the key loading area of the stick while maintaining a standard Nexus mid-kick point. This made the new Bauer Nexus ADV the first stick to have ever completed this task. This new revolutionary technology has really made this stick lighter and has the ability to transfer energy to the blade in an instant when releasing the puck. Also, this new ER SPINE Tech shaft makes it easier to lean into the stick to load and release shots that have major velocity with less effort than you can think of. The main benefit of this shaft is that it was designed to take the shape of any player's hand perfectly to maximize the feel and control of the stick.

Holding this stick in your hands feels like air. This stick is not only lighter than a feather but has the ability to enhance your performance and make you a better shooter and puck handler. This is the first stick created with these revolutionary substances, but since it has been so successful to every player who has used it, it has been released that it won't be the last stick to have these revolutionary features.
