Audi RS7

“More! More! More!” As the voices in my head rushed through whilst driving Audi’s all new RS7. After all, there’s no rational reason to improve upon this fabulous, 560-horsepower RS7.  This car is tremendously powerful, and is unrelenting in it’s delivery. Pushing you forward with momentum as the hood is packed with 553-lb-ft torque as it kicks you back in your seat as if you riding in a roller-coaster. However, as the famous Hannah Montana saying goes “Nobody’s perfect” here’s some pros and cons of the Audi RS7.

Pros:

Does literally everything well:

I could talk on and on about this car for countless hours, simply because it’s so good at everything it does. It an involving driver’s tool on a great back road. It’s comfortable and compliant for hours of highway cruising, with Audi’s famous Quattro all-wheel driver and winter tires, it’ll handle even the most brutal of snowstorms as if it’s a tank. Choices to be made, if I were given the opportunity to only drive one car everyday for the rest of my life, you’d have to convince me of a better car than the RS7.

Comfort and technology:

The seats are comfortable and supportive, the interior is packed with every premium amenity a driver could ask for. However, the MMI (multi-media-interface) entertainment is a little outdated compared to the RS3, and RS5 but it still operates better comparatively to Mercedes Benz’s MMI. This car offers serene comfort along side accessible technology that let’s driver’s sink into their seat as if their sleeping at home.

Cons:

It’s too damn quiet:

Audi’s are well-renowned for their monotone exhaust notes, which isn’t the best reputation to have for themselves. They’ve tried to incorporate deeper exhaust notes as you drop the transmission into sport and have the exhaust set to Dynamic mode. But even then, the soft-purr from the back of the exhaust makes the birds around town feel comfortable, compared to the vicious V8 sounds of a Cadillac CTS-V and C63 AMGS which sadly destroys the earring of the poor innocent people crowded around the vehicles.

No Manual Transmission Offered:

The RS7 offers the typical dad’s gearbox with an eight-speed automatic which comes standard basically to any Audi RS-line. While Audi tiptronic transmission is impressive, the shift time compared to a manual transmission is unthinkable, soaring through the gear’s in an 8-speed transmission is what can redefine the history of Audi, however we are all still waiting for Audi to listen to their customers.

From a sheer performance perspective, the Audi RS7 is an elite class of sports sedans. As soon as the driver presses the accelerator the powerful sedan begins to transform into a fire-breathing monster. However, the powerful sedan is still a great travelling companion, the comfortable leather seats, and MMI technology provides families with great highway cruises along side reasonable gas-mileage. Despite the cons of the beautiful sedan, Audi has mastered the perfect crossover enabling the family friend vehicle to satisfy everyone with a hefty price-tag.
