On August 3, 2018, Travis Scott released his long-awaited album: ASTROWORLD. The album consists of 17 brand new R&B/Hip-Hop tracks featuring various guest rappers on each track ranging from Kanye West to The Weeknd; adding up to approximately 58 minutes and 33 seconds of the most popular rappers spitting bars you’re bound to listen to on repeat.
Although Travis planned to release an album with 17 unheard tracks, 3 singles were released prior to the release of the album. These tracks were the foundation for the album (“Butterfly Effect”, “SICKOMODE”, and “YOSEMITE”). The title of the album was released in early May 2018, along with the grand opening of the Six-Flags ASTROWORLD park in Houston, Texas. Travis then proceeded to hype the album up by releasing the dates for his ASTROWORLD tour later this year. So much hype! As you could probably guess, the album has done very successfully in terms of the media and continues to become more popular each day.
ASTROWORLD is without a doubt filled with “psychedelic trap songs”. In my opinion, Travis spits the most flame bars in the first verse of “NO BYSTANDERS”. If you were a fan of the top hit “Antidote” released by Travis back in 2015, then you’ll love “NO BYSTANDERS”. Although this style of music does not appeal to all individuals, Travis listened to his “Ragers” and gave them what they wanted. From collaborations with the well-known 6-God: Drake, to electric dance music beats -- Travis has really outdone himself this time. After only one day of ASTROWORLD being released, it made the Billboard Top 200 in America. Following this milestone, the album was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America on September 21, 2018. We all knew the tracks would be fire, but who knew they’d be this fire?
There you have it Ragers, the new ASTROWORLD album by Travis Scott is by far one of the best R&B/Hip-Hop albums released in 2018 and Travis Scott is one of the most popular rappers of 2018 all because of the release of this fire album.
