Bree, the chief village of Bree-land. A small inhabited region with many different type of folk ranging from elves to hobbits. But all are pretty short.
As much as they don’t travel, most folk in Bree don’t think of outsiders other than dumb dead weight. If you manage to startle them they might get on their bad side and think even less. However, if you do good deeds they will treat you nicely. Even if it is something as small as buying a beer for ye best mate. If fact, Bree-hobbits are the only type of folk that won’t mind giving a nice greeting.
It was said that they were the few descendants of first men to ever travel west wards. And after the turmoils of the Elder days.
Their rumors tell about travelers called rangers. They wander around south and east-wards off of Bree. Nothing is known about them, their origin or where they came from. But they appear rarely with news saying more are approaching.
One of their land marks, The Prancing Pony, is a bar run by Barliman Butterbur. A popular cow themed bar. This is where most people go after long days of work to hang out with more of there kind. Some give speeches and some come to stop by during their travel.
